MY MISSION: To assist therapists and other healers with an existing client base to learn about and implement Earth Centered Practices and activities during their daily contact with clients. This is grounding for both the practitioner and the people we serve.

WHY: We are experiencing an ever-increasing separation from our natural world. As such,
our own grounding as therapists is becoming weaker. It is difficult to offer a means of healing our clients if therapists are not fully enlivened.

HOW: Mentoring and facilitating in real time on the land learning to let the Earth hold us and our practice. Through hands on practice, I facilitate expanding practitioners’ tools in a kinesthetic and somatic relationship to the land. This offers a very real sense of rootedness to our practice.

What qualifies me to claim my place as a guide?

My work as a psychotherapist in a typical office setting left me feeling as if something were
missing from the relationship. As I spent time wandering the land and putting bare feet on the Earth I felt more grounded and able to hold more of clients were bringing. It became clear that I am a conduit and that the Earth will in fact hold all that we carry. If we just learn to let it.

My skill set is expansive. I’ve worked in Outdoor Education, Substance Abuse
Prevention, and therapeutic interventions such as Equine Assisted Therapy, Ancestral Skills
Development as adjuncts to traditional models of western psychology. I hold an M.A. in
Counseling Psychology and Adventure Therapy. Most recently I work as a consultant and mentor to other therapists to help bring the Earth into the relationships with their clients.

Land Acknowledgment.

I acknowledge publicly and intentionally that I live and work on stolen and occupied, traditional lands of Ute, Jicarilla
Apache, Dine, Comanche, and others.
I also recognize the much larger and unbounded terrain of all Indigenous Peoples within the broader area of the South West.

In gratitude,
Wisdom
